Level Posthaste — Posthaste causes Disengage to remove movement impairing effects and increase your movement speed by 50 percent for four seconds. This talent makes an already strong ability in Disengage even stronger. Level Stomp — Stomp causes your pets to stomp the ground around them whenever you cast Barbed Shot. Level Bloodshed — The perfect talent for sustained damage, Bloodshed causes your pet to bite your target, dealing bleed damage to it for 18 seconds and causing your pet to deal 15 percent more damage to that target.
With two pets, this talent is incredibly effective. Your two companions will essentially have a 15 percent raw DPS buff on a second cooldown. Serpent Sting - Serpent Sting has been buffed heading into Shadowlands. It deals a fair bit more damage and now lasts 18 sec. While it's still focus intensive, it gives us a solid option for spread cleave fights and allows us to multi-dot if required.
At the moment it's fairly under tuned and is not worth taking over Master Marksman or Serpent Sting. At the moment it is the best pure single target talent but falls off in AoE situations. Barrage - Barrage is our go-to option for consistent spread AoE. It's a very niche ability that we won't be using very often. It currently falls behind Explosive Shot slightly unless mobs are spread out. It is now target capped at 8 enemies.
With current tuning, it should be used if there are any additional enemies present in the encounter. Remember, it has a delayed reaction so be sure to plan accordingly when using it. Trailblazer - This is especially good for Transmog runs or niche scenarios that require traversing distances quickly.
Natural Mending - Natural Mending is typically your only real choice in this row. It gives us a bit of extra healing over the course of a raid encounter or dungeon. By taking Steady Focus, we must now cast Steady Shot at least twice, back-to-back, every 15 sec which we typically have to do anyway due to our high focus costs now.
At the moment, Steady Focus is the best talent for single target situations, but it's also viable for sustained AoE. Streamline - Streamline simply increases Rapid Fire 's damage by a flat amount and gives a small quality of life to Aimed Shot by reducing its cast time.
Streamline is our goto AoE talent typically and pairs well with Surging Shots. Chimaera Shot - Chimaera Shot is new to the Marksmanship toolkit. When talented into it, Chimaera Shot now replaces Arcane Shot as a baseline ability.
This is a fairly big upgrade to our two-target cleave capabilities. Additionally, the secondary shot deals half as much damage as the primary shot fired. At the moment, Chimaera Shot excels at the 2 target niche and will typically be used when it isn't realistic to maintain Steady Focus. Born To Be Wild - Can be very useful when additional immunities are needed. Other than that, it's typically used to reduce the cooldown on Aspect of the Cheetah for additional movement speed.
Posthaste - This will be your default dungeon and raid talent for added movement speed and positioning. The snare removal is also extremely helpful in certain situations. Binding Shackles - Since tanks are typically tanking bosses or enemies inside raids and dungeons, Binding Shackles has no relevance in those situations.
